Fall risk assessment Atlantis Physical Therapy Torrance Southbay

Many are aware that falls are the leading cause of injury in adults aged 65 years or older. But, many are not aware that balance issues are also related to cognitive decline, because your brain the ability to move and balance your body in any activity comes from the connection between your brain, nervous system and muscles.

A quick and easy way to test your balance is to stand on one leg and see how long you can hold it without excessive wobbling. Ideally, should be able to do this for 20 seconds.

Here is the really good news. If you or a loved one have fallen in the past year, have general balance issues, or are concerned about your cognitive health, we have ways to help that are fun, interactive, and generate results to keep you safe and improve your health.
